This is the server rack I babysit at work..... Following is the list of all the servers in Order from top to bottom in the rack. 1 - Backup Server is running Windows Storage Server R2 , it's a custom machine , AMD Opteron 3.0Ghz Dual Core, Storage is 1 Terrabyte Raid 10, 8GB RAM..... This machine does realtime backups, of all the servers and stores the images locally and offsite at 3 Different NOCS. Can also Virtualize any of the servers on the network if they have issues. 2 - The Terminal Server is running Windows Server 2003 R2, it's an HP Proliant DL380 G5 - 2 x Intel Xeon X5460 Quad Core 3.16GHz Processors, 4GB RAM, 6x 72GB 10K Drives Raid 5.... This server handles all Terminal Sessions. 3 - The SQL Server is running Windows Server 2003 R2, 2 x Intel Xeon X5460 Quad Core 3.16GHz Processors, 4GB RAM, 6x 72GB 10K Drives Raid 5.... This machine handles our SQL Database, User file Storage and Domain Controller functionality. It's actually running MS SQL 2005, New server we are installing to replace this one will have SQL 2008, we epect too see some performance boosts. New video to follow. 4 - The Web Server is running Windows 2003 Web Edition, its a Dell PowerEdge 2950, Dual Intel XEON 1.8GHz Dual Core, 6x 160GB SATA 7.2k Drives. We use this strictly for our Online Ordering, and web page serving. HP StorageWorks Tape Backup Unit is right below the 1st Server, it does Nightly backups of the SQL Databases, and is swapped out nightly on 400gb Tapes. Software used is Symantec ...
