mobile Racking Systems

Mobile Racking Systems are storage system's or units, that can be maneuvered about the workplace, or work area. For this reason, mobile racking systems are commonly mounted on wheels, rollers or can even be motorised. Motorised mobile racking systems will allow maximum utilization of a storage area, and still allow 100% passage to the pallets. These types of racking systems are fixed onto electrically powered bases, allowing the ideas to move on rails embedded in the floor. The operator can open and passage any aisle required with a singular command. mobile racking systems can be used to store dissimilar types of pallet loads, sacks, drums, crates etc.

There are some types of mobile racking systems ready and some of these can include, push back racking, drive in racking, cantilever racking, and conventional racking.

Mobile racking systems can be :

o    Electrically powered

o    Mechanically assisted

o    Manually operated

Electrically powered systems are operated by the push of a button which is mounted at the end of each run. When the button is pushed it automatically powers the high ratio gears which in turn drives the wheels and chains in the mobile bases along the floor mounted tracks, and requires no real effort from the operator.

Mechanically assisted systems use multi-ratio geared hand wheels which are mounted at the end of each run of shelving, and are used to turn the chains and wheels in the mobile bases along the floor mounted tracks. This makes it very easy to move even very large loads.

Manually operated systems are regularly push or pulled using handles to move the mobile bases along the floor mounted tracks.

Mobile racking or mobile shelving systems are very cost productive and help maximise storage capacity, whilst at the same time freeing up space for other uses in warehouse, offices, factories, hospitals and stockrooms etc.

These systems are most commonly used for long term storage of ;

o    Documents & folders

o    Archives & archive boxes

o    medical records and X-Rays

They are commonly placed in fetch places such as dedicated store rooms. They can also be used for storage of consumables, stationary and discrete other types of files and documents, storage of bulky or long items, and even for heavy palletised goods.
